An estate cleanout is rarely just a junk job — it’s usually a family settling a parent’s home, an executor working against a probate or sale deadline, or a landlord turning a long-held property. We move at your pace and around what matters. You pull the keepsakes, paperwork, and anything of value first; we handle the volume. Usable furniture, housewares, and clothing go to local San Jose donation centers whenever possible, which can also give the estate a record of the donation.
What we don’t take: We’re not an appraisal or estate-sale service, so we don’t value or sell items — but we’ll gladly work alongside an estate-sale company or realtor and clear whatever’s left after the sale.

Yes, and we’d insist on it. Before anything is loaded, you (or the family) pull out keepsakes, jewelry, photos, and paperwork. If you can’t be there, tell us what to watch for — documents, specific heirlooms — and we set those aside rather than haul them. We’d always rather double-check than throw out something that matters.
Whenever we can. Furniture, kitchenware, clothing, and working electronics in good shape go to local donation centers instead of the landfill, and we can provide the drop-off record so the estate has documentation. It’s better for the family, better for the next person who needs it, and it keeps the job in line with the county’s diversion rules.
