Junk removal in San Jose means one call and a truck at your curb: we carry out the couch, the old fridge, the garage pile, or the whole apartment’s worth of clutter, load it ourselves, and sweep the spot clean. San Jose is unusual: the city offers residents free curbside Junk Pickup through San José 311, up to 12 large items per appointment, with unlimited appointments. If your items are already at the curb, you can wait for a scheduled slot, and it costs nothing, that program is the cheapest option and we’ll tell you so. It’s a genuinely good service and worth using when it fits.
Where it doesn’t fit is when the junk is still inside — the city does not do inside or garage pickup, only curbside — when you have more than 12 items or a full cleanout, when you need it gone today instead of on the next route, or when it’s a rental turnover, estate, or business where nobody can haul things to the curb. That gap is exactly what we fill: we go in, carry everything out, and haul it the same day. Renters and property managers also can’t always use the residential program, so hiring a hauler is the clean path.
Most junk removal jobs in San Jose are priced by how much room your items take up in the truck. A single item pickup typically runs in the low hundreds; a quarter to half truckload is the most common residential job; and a full truckload of a garage or apartment cleanout is the top of the range.
